Lone Star Preview is run by The Woodlands High School Band Booster Club, a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization. This page covers what you can bring into the stadium, how tickets work, how we handle your information, and how to get help on contest day.
Stadium Policies
What you may and may not bring into Woodforest Bank Stadium. Worth checking before you leave the house.

| Bags | A clear bag policy is in effect. Clear bags and clear backpacks are allowed, as is a gallon storage bag and a small non-transparent pouch for medically necessary items. Standard backpacks, duffle bags, cinch sacks, grocery bags and non-clear purses are not. |
| Water | Outside liquids of any kind are not allowed beyond the entrance gates. Empty, reusable bottles are allowed. Water fountains are available for refilling. The gallon-sized water jugs students carry are not permitted in the spectator stands. |
| Umbrellas | Umbrellas are discouraged, but may be brought in so long as they are closed as soon as students take the field and for the entire duration of each performance. Hats and visors are preferred to minimize stadium obstructions. If an umbrella is open during a performance time, you will be asked to close it. |
| Food and drink | Outside food, drinks and coolers are not permitted, and glass bottles are prohibited. Concessions run through both sessions. |
Woodforest Bank Stadium is a Conroe ISD facility and the district rules apply all day. Read the full Conroe ISD stadium policy
Tickets & Refunds
- All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. Lone Star Preview runs rain or shine.
- Prelims and finals are separate sessions. The stadium clears between them and a prelims ticket will not re-admit you for finals. The All Day ticket covers both.
- Parking is included with every ticket.
- Tickets are sold online on the day of the event at gate prices; buy in advance or at the gate.
If severe weather cancels the contest
If Lone Star Preview is cancelled in whole because of extreme or severe weather, a refund policy will be published on this website, together with instructions for requesting a refund. Check this page.
Conroe ISD & SCHOOL DISTRICT employee badges
A Conroe ISD or other school district employee badge does not grant admission to Lone Star Preview. Every spectator buys a ticket, including CISD employees and employees of other school districts. The contest is run by The Woodlands High School Band Booster Club rather than by the district, at a district facility.
Photography & Video
Focus The Woodlands is the official event photographer. By entering the stadium you accept that you may be photographed or filmed, and that those images may be used by the The Woodlands High School Band and Booster Club to promote the contest. If you would prefer an image of you or your child not be used, write to lonestar@twhsband.org and we will remove it.
Personal photography and video are welcome. Commercial recording, and any recording meant to be sold or distributed is not permitted.
Accessibility
Accessible seating and companion seating are available at the stadium, with accessible parking in the main spectator lot. Ask any volunteer in an event shirt and they will walk you in.
We want this website to work for everyone. If something here is hard to read or use, with a screen reader, a keyboard, or on a phone, please tell us at lonestar@twhsband.org and we will fix it.
Privacy
What we collect
This website does not require an account and does not ask you to create one. If you contact us by email we keep your message and address only for as long as it takes to answer you.
Band registration is handled through Cognito Forms, and ticket sales through SimpleTix. When you use those services you are giving your information to them under their own privacy policies, not to this website. We receive only what we need to run the contest, for registration, your band and director details; for tickets, a record that a ticket was sold.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information.
- We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies WordPress needs to work. If you leave a comment or log in as an editor, WordPress sets cookies for that purpose. There is no advertising or cross-site tracking.
Your choices
To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to lonestar@twhsband.org. Requests made through Cognito Forms or SimpleTix should go to those services directly.
